Gerald J. Schubert

	Mr. Gerald J. Schubert, 62, of Nashville, departed this life at his residence on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:10 p.m. after a brief illness.
	Mr. Schubert was born in St. Louis, Mo. on January 11, 1942, the son of John and Barbara F. (Kitowski) Schubert.  He was united in marriage to Mary Klostermann at St. Rose, Ill. on October 30, 1963 and she survives his passing.
	Gerald was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Local #520 of the Operating Engineers.  He worked for Consolidated Coal Co. at the Burning Star #4 Mine near Pinckneyville.  Mr. Schubert was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Nashville, Moose Lodge #2560 of Nashville and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Tamaroa, the Ainad Temple of East St. Louis and the Ainad Temple Road Runners Transportation Unit.  Gerald was also a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite  where he received the Meritorious Services Award and was a member of the Williamson County Krazy Klowns Unit.  Mr. Schubert was an avid miniature railroad enthusiast.
	Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Mary Schubert of Nashville; two daughters, Mary Barbara Peterson and husband Don of West Chicago and Brenda Ann Morris and husband Ken of Albers; three grandchildren, Daniel and Julie Peterson and Clint Morris; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews; other relations and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donald Frank Schubert.
	Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church of Nashville on Wednesday, February 11 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Weinhoff officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
	Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home of Nashville on Tuesday from 3 until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m.
	Masonic Rites were conducted at the Campagna Funeral Home Tuesday at 7 p.m.
	Should friends desire, memorial contributions to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children or the memorial fund of the donor's choice will be received by the Campagna Funeral Home.
